Altmeister der niederländischen Moderne gibtes da zu entdecken mit anspruchsvollen Chorwerken voller Intensität und poetischer Zartheit. Die zweite Konzerthälfte gehört einem Chorzyklus, den der baltische Komponist Ugis Praulins im letzten Jahr für den dänischen Rundfunkchor geschrieben hat und den das SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart erstmals inDeutschland aufführt: Hans-Christian Andersens Märchen Die Nachtigall wird hier zu einer virtuosen Konzertsuite in acht Bildern: ein Weihnachtsmärchen für Erwachsene mit dem SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart und Michala Petri als atemberaubender Blockflöten-Nachtigall. Im Anschluss folgt die Ursendung der 9-stimmigen Motette von Daniel Smutny. Das Werk ist ein Kompositionsaufrag des SWR und des Vereins der Freunde und Förderer des SWR Vokalensembles für das SWR Vokalensemble und seinen Patenchor 2012/2013. Auf einen Text von Augustinus über die Untrennbarkeit von Gegenwart, Vergangenheit undZukunft verbindet Daniel Smutny in seiner 9-stimmigen Motette die Tonsprache von Gegenwart und Vergangenheit. Dass er dabei die beiden Chöre nicht trennend gegeneinander antreten lässt, sondern sie räumlichund klanglich ineinander verschränkt, entspricht der Intention des Patenprogramms und steht für Daniel Smutnys Stil, mit Tradition und Vergangenheit auf kreative Weise kompositorisch selbstverständlich umzugehen.

Til koncerten kan publikum forvente en poetisk rejse, hvor DR VokalEnsemblet, den folkekære skuespillerinde Ghita Nørby og den verdensberømte, danske blokfløjtenist Michala Petri sammen skaber en unik fortælling i musik og ord.

Ghita Nørby læser højt af den populære historie, mens DR VokalEnsemblet i en vekselvirkning fremfører Ugis Praulins berømte korværk over samme fortælling. Koncerten bliver dirigeret af Stephen Layton, der blev Grammy-nomineret for sin musik til netop Nattergalen, og Michela Petri spiller på blokfløjter.
Ghita Nørby fortæller: "Jeg holder allermest af H.C. Andersen, når han anskuer menneskesjælen, når han er barsk, når han spidder os - og især den danske folkesjæl. Når han viser menneskets brutalitet, dumhed og smålighed." Nattergalen er ikke blot eventyret om Kejseren fra Kina og en kinesisk sangfugl men kommer omkring eviggyldige temaer som det sande, det naturlige, kunsten og musikken. Alt det der slutteligt vækker den døende Kejser til live.

A lo largo del último mes, Kromátika presentaba “Prière”, su nuevo Proyecto Musical, en Guadalajara, Madrid y Cádiz.
“Prière”, emotiva plegaria a la Virgen María relacionada con la tradición cristiana de las vigilias con candelas, sobre un poema religioso del Padre Léonce de Grandmaison, compuesta por Albert Alcaraz originalmente para coro de mujeres y adaptada para coro de voces mixtas para Kromátika, es la pieza central que da título y en torno a la que giran las otras diez composiciones sacras que componían este nuevo Proyecto, que el coro y su directora Elisa Gómez presentaban recientemente al público. El citado proyecto comprendía el siguiente repertorio:

All, I'm very pleased to say that the Samford choir has made it to the Grand Prix round in the competition. It is an outstanding competition with a world class jury of musicians and composers of the highest caliber. We will join choirs from Italy, Indonesia, Latvia and another choir from the United States in singing an 18-22 minute program tomorrow afternoon.
It is at this point in the competition that things really get tough. Only two pieces can be repeated from the previous 12-18 minutes of singing in the competition. Only the best rehearsed choirs have enough literature to sing another long program.

Washington and Lee University's annual Christmas Candlelight Service featuring the University Singers will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. in Lee Chapel. 2014.
Music for the traditional service again will be provided by the University Singers, the evolution of the Chamber Singers, and conducted by Shane M. Lynch, director of choral activities at W&L. The Singer’s anthems will feature a wide variety of music, from Michael Praetorious’ traditional “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming” and Paul J. De Letse componisti Ugis Praulins is een in Noord-Europa zeer geliefde componist. Hij is behalve muziekpedagoog, dirigent, componist, ook nog speler in een rockband. Dat is hier en daar te merken in zijn composities. Het AVE voert een van zijn beroemdste werken uit: de Missa Rigensis. Hierin brengt Praulins diverse muziekstijlen bij elkaar en zelfs binnen een deel wisselen die stijlen elkaar voortdurend af. Das Singen nationalistischer Lieder war in der Sowjetunion bei strengster Strafe verboten. Während der Perestroika-Zeit nutzten hundert- tausende Bürger der baltischen Staaten dieses Verbot, um für ihre Unabhängigkeit zu kämp- fen, und sangen in Kirchen und auf Plätzen ein- heitsstiftende Lieder. Unter der Leitung des briti- schen Dirigenten Stephen Layton stellt der NDR Chor geistliche Chormusik der „Singenden Re- volution“ Werken zweier britischer Meister aus der Zeit der Reformation gegenüber.

Onder de titel ‘In Scandinavische kringen’ brengt het Nederlands Kamerkoor u werken van hedendaagse Noord-Europese componisten die de afgelopen jaren een grote naam hebben opgebouwd. Het thema vanavond is: wie geloof je, wie verkies je? Vanuit die vraag creëerde chef-dirigent Risto Joost een programma waarin heidense en christelijke riten om voorrang strijden. Noord-Europa heeft een oersterke koortraditie, die fantastische zangers, koren en componisten voortbracht en nog steeds brengt. In Noord-Europa speelt de natuur een veel grotere rol in het dagelijks leven dan in het verstedelijkte westen. In die natuur zijn de heidense riten nog voelbaar. De componisten die u hoort lieten zich door deze mystiek vangen en motiveren.
Risto Joost is geboren in Estland. Hij leerde het vak van onder meer Esa-Pekka Salonen en Neeme Järvi, geen kleine jongens als het gaat om dirigeren. Zijn voeding met landen als Finland en de Baltische staten is groot en hij begrijpt de diepten en de mysteries van deze weidse en onherbergzame landschappen die bezongen worden door Holten, Tormis, Sandström, Nystedt en Prauliņš. Een concert om het warm én koud bij te krijgen.

Aprillikuu keskel esitab Risto Joost Hollandis oma Madalmaade Kammerkooriga veel kuuel õhtul uut programmi sarjast „Skandinaavia ringil", kus ka Baltimaad ning neid esindavad Veljo Tormis, lätlased Pēteris Vasks ja Uģis Prauliņš, ning Rootsit ja Taanit Bo Holten, Sven-David Sandström ja Knut Nystedt. Kavad varieeruvad, ja nt Tormiselt on tänuväärselt kavas „Piiskop ja pagan" kui ka „Raua needmine". Nii on noorel Eesti dirigendil järjest kaalukaid rahvusvahelisi pakkumisi, mis ta edukalt kuulajate ette toob.

Unser nächstes Projekt nimmt langsam Fahrt auf. Die Noten sind verschickt, die Besetzung und die Stimmverteilung stehen fest. Die Sängerinnen und Sänger des Ensembles bereiten sich jetzt in Eigenregie vor, ehe wir dann Anfang März zum ersten Probenwochenende zusammenkommen werden. Auf dem Programm stehen dieses Mal u.a. Werke des lettischen Zeitgenossen Uģis Prauliņš (Missa Rigensis) und von Hanns Eisler ("Gegen den Krieg"). Das Konzert unter dem Arbeitstitel "missa da pacem" wird am 19.04.2015 um 16:00 Uhr in St. Klara Nürnberg stattfinden.

Jubiläum: Höhepunkt reiht sich an Höhepunkt / 26 Veranstaltungen in 2015
Als Highlight bezeichnet werden darf aber auch der Konzertmarathon unter dem Motto „Odi et Amo“ (hassen und lieben) vom 3. bis 5. Juli. Dabei werden die Chorknaben mit einer professionellen Rockband auftreten. Und zwar mehrfach im Kreisgebiet. Der lettische Komponist Ugis Praulins hat dieses Oratorium geschrieben. Er selbst wird an den Keyboards sitzen.
Rockiges wurde zur Aufführungsreife gebracht und auch lettische Kompositionen von (zum Beispiel) Ugis Praulins.
